I boot up, load everybody’s favorite messenger, [1] gaim, when all hell breaks loose. I get a friendly message from M$.

(15:34:25) messenger@microsoft.com: You are running a version of messenger that requires an immediate security update. Please visit http://messenger.msn.com/Help/Upgrades.aspx to complete the update.
(15:34:25) messenger@microsoft.com has closed the conversation window.

In other words, please reboot to our OS and install our client, as part of our Trustworthy Computing initiative. They wish.
