I went to see “Inglorious Basterds” yesterday. I guess expecting Quentin Tarantino to make a good movie is just asking for too much.

I haven’t seen it and don’t plan to…I don’t know if his movies are all overrated, or if I just don’t “get” them.
Don’t bother, you’re not missing much. It is an overtly violent, overly stylised B-movie—just like every other one of of his movies. I too have long wondered why he is so popular and revered.
Man,
How can I explain the brilliance of Tarantino?
He isn’t overrated. Some people just can’t get his style. The beauty of Tarantino lies in the comedy, the dialogues. He is more like an inspirational figure to me, and I was hurt by your comments :P
If you haven’t watched his “Reservoir Dogs” please do watch it, maybe you can get used to him!
Cheers!
I’ve been forced to sit through “Reservoir Dogs” and I hated it. That, and “Pulp Fiction.”
People go on and on about how awesome he is and how awesome his films are, but I just don’t see it. Maybe I am just not smart enough.
