Do you have a flickr account? If not, please do consider opening one. Your pictures are nothing short of perfection and they need the due appreciation. I’m at a loss how some of your finest pictures have no comments! Appalling!! :o
Thank you, thank you! As I’ve said before, your comments have made my day. (Week?)
The (apparent) lack of comments has a long story. I don’t post on flickr, but I used to run a picture-a-day (or rather, picture whenever I felt like it) site independent of my journal. It is called delineate, and it is still up.
This site is quite old, and was built at a time when my journal software didn’t really filter out spam comments. So I used to be inundated each day with thousands of fake comments advertising Viagra and such. So I shut down comments on the site, and requested people to e-mail me instead, which they did.
Fast-forward a few years, and I decided to merge my photo site back with my journal (I separated them in the first place to focus on my writing, but today I need any content I can get). And that’s why you see so many half-decent photos with no comments on them; they’re in my mailbox.
