I’ve been meaning to ask

If you were to pick between being delightfully gorgeous, lewdly gawked at, mostly worshipped like a goddess but perhaps touched without your permission, and being appallingly grotesque, incessantly ignored, mostly treated unnoticed, like dirt, and obviously untouched, which would you pick?

And why?

  1. I pick the first, because my website comes up if you enter the search phrase “women are superficial shallow” or something similar. So that seems like the obvious choice to me.

Touched without permission = good enough reason to layeth the smack down.

  2. i’ve been treated both ways, so i’d pick the first because being ignored always bothered me more…but i haven’t had any super sleazy and gross guys try to touch me. that might be worse.

  3. I must say I’m extremely surprised by the responses. Then again, maybe I wasn’t clear enough about what I meant by “touched without permission.”

  4. Ah. No, euphemisms = bad idea.
Well, again with the laying down of the smack. At this age, anyway. An asshole is an asshole no matter what you look like, whether he’s making very unwelcome advances or giving you dirty looks and calling you a heifer.

  5. Let’s suppose you’re too young (or not strong enough for whatever reason) to lay the aformentioned smacking down. What then?

  6. I think that sort of thing has very little to do with what you look like, actually, and is much more about whatever “sickness” is going on in the mind of the abuser, though it might be difficult to convince someone so abused of that.

  7. Well, lot of people consider me to be ‘delightfully gorgeous’, and most men ‘lewdly gawk’ at me (my chest). Oh yes, some say I am ‘worshipped like a goddess’ , yet ironically I am ‘touched’ (molested) many times (err..i never knew the meaning of ‘permission’) by scums.

I sometimes wish i was ‘appallingly grotesque’, so that I am ‘incessantly ignored’, or at least be treated unnoticed, and just left alone.

But,whatever happens would never let anybody ‘treat me like dirt’ from now on, even if it means i am going to be left untouched for the rest of my life!
